On a Roll!

Well, I’ve managed to post within a week of the last entry. I consider that a win in my book, at least in terms of building some consistency!

Anyway, I haven’t taken a lot of pictures within the last few months. Yes, I think I’ve talked about hitting these ruts when it comes to photography. August is almost gone and it’s been mainly dedicated toward anything and everything involving school. It unfortunately puts photography on the wayside.

That . . . and the smoke.

It’s been an incredibly volatile fire season, one that could possibly extend into October, with as little precipitation we’ve had. I remember on my drive back from Idaho, passing through Northern California and seeing the vast amount of land scarred by wildfire. I was going to stop at one point to take a picture, but knowing I had to be at work the following day, I was more keen on getting home than getting a capture.

This has been the worse I’ve seen in the nearly 30 years I’ve lived in Northern Nevada.

For now, here’s another picture, the last I’ve taken. It’s my annual Mayberry Park picture in Reno.

The annual Mayberry Park picture. Luckily I had some light to play with.
